  • Mandolin Slicer

Ingredients
 

  • 2 whole plantains
  • avocado oil spray
  • sprinkle salt
  • sprinkle paprika and/or red chili powder

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 375F.
  • Cut the ends of the plantains.
  • Cut through the skin lengthwise and peel.
  • Using the mandolin slicer, or very carefully with a knife or peeler, slice the plantains lengthwise or diagonally julienne-style.
  • Lay out the sliced plantains on the air fryer tray and spray with avocado oil.
  • Air fry for 5 minutes , turn over and air fry for 2-3 more minutes.
  • Once they are crispy, take them out. Sprinkle with salt and paprika and/or red chili pepper.

Notes

  1. These plantains turn out best when they are sliced thinly and evenly.
  2. Keep an eye on the plantains as they are cooking. Time may vary based on how thinly or evenly the plantains were sliced.
